You want to buy a house but you have questions..totally understandable. I am here to answer any of the questions that you have - Let's start with these frequently asked questions.

Q: What is the cost to work with a Realtor?
A: As a buyer, it does not cost you anything to work with a Realtor. The seller pays both the listing side and buyer side commissions when the transaction closes.
Q: Can I make an offer without being pre-approved?
A: In a competitive market, pre-approval is a necessity as it strengthens your offer and presents less risk to the seller if your purchase is reliant on obtaining financing.
Q: Should I talk to my bank about pre-approval?
A: Shop around for a home loan. That's right- shop! Consider the level of service & support that you will get from a local mortgage company vs a bank- as well as comparing interest rates.
Q: What does my credit score need to be get pre-approved?
A: Consult with the lender that you decided to work with. They will be able to counsel you on your financials, including your credit score.
Q: How much $$ do I need for a down payment?
A: Your down payment will vary depending on the loan type you choose. For example, FHA loan requires a 3.5% down payment, whereas a conventional loan you can put down 5% - 20%. If you qualify for VA benefits you could be eligible for ZERO down! Talk to your lender for further clarification.
Q: Can agents only show their own listings?
A: I can show you any listing on the market in Washington State!
